Design

"Canst thou remember, 

a time before we came unto this cell" 

Getting the right set-design for The Tempest is crucial, it is one of the most important aspects of the production. For this we have enlisted the talents of Anna Soboleva.  Here are some of her initial designs for this project. 

Musical Numbers

'Full fathom five thy father lies;

 Of his bones are coral made; 

Those are pearls that were his eyes; 

Nothing of him that does fade,'

The songs in The Tempest, have been interpreted in different ways throughout the centuries, it has also inspired hundreds of Operas. Our fresh response to this was to reinterpret the songs and give them to a singer/songwriter, who is reworking the songs. 

There are six in total, and will be staged as full-scale musical numbers in the final piece.
